The lobastas are the largest of the aquatic fey of Rus, and probably the most antisocial, even moreso than the vodyanoi: they even avoid other fey, let alone humanoids. When encountered in the wild, a lobasta does not hesitate to let her opinions known: she changes her size to Huge (becoming as tall as a tree) and threatens her opponents with her massive fists. If this does not work, she uses her spell-like abilities to improve her chances before waging into melee, which continues until all of her opponents are slain, or the lobasta herself loses over one-half of hp. If the latter happens, she flees either into water or into the forest, as unlike most other aquatic fey, the lobasta is not dependent on water.
Though antisocial, the lobastas are not inheritently evil, and may even help in small ways - like guiding out of the wetlands or woods. But she expects payment - and she does not shy in stating it either.
