Godborn

Godborn creatures have one divine grandparent. They are far more powerful than normal creatures. They are larger than normal creatures, and glow with power.

Creating A Godborn

"Godborn" is a template that may be applied to any creature. The creature gains the (extraplanar) subtype. Animals become magical beasts, and humanoids become outsiders.

Hit Dice: Add four hit dice; increase die type to d8 (if already d8 or higher, do not change the die type).

Size: Godborn creatures are 50% larger than normal. There is a 50% chance this increases them one size category.

Initiative: As base creature, adjusted for feats and Dexterity.

Speed: Add 20 ft. to all speeds.

AC: Add +6 to natural armor.

Attacks: Godborn creatures have natural attacks. If the base creature has no natural attacks, the godborn gains one attack appropriate to its form.

Damage: Godborn creatures' attacks deal damage as below, or as the base creature, whichever is better:
Fine 1d3
Diminutive 1d4
Tiny 1d6
Small 1d8
Medium-size 2d6
Large 2d8
Huge 4d6
Gargantuan 4d8
Colossal 8d6

Face: Modify for size.

Special Attacks: A godborn keeps all the base creature's special attacks and gains two of the following:
Breath Weapon (Su): The godborn can breathe fire, acid, cold, electricity, light, or poison. The breath weapon deals 1d6 points of damage of the chosen type for every Hit Die after the third of the godborn. The breath weapon is 20' long per size category if a line, or 10' long per size category if a cone. A Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 godborn's HD + godborn's Constitution modifier) halves the damage.
Rake (Ex): If all a godborn's natural attacks hit, the godborn may make two additional rake attacks as secondary attacks for the damage listed under 'Damage.'
Pounce (Ex): By pouncing upon a foe, a godborn may make a move action and a full attack action in the same round. This may be combined with flurry of blows, below.
Flurry of Blows (Ex): A godborn may make one additional attack at its highest attack bonus when it takes a full attack action. This may be combined with pounce, above.
Smite Foe (Ex): A good godborn may make a normal attack once per day to deal additional damage equal to its HD + 2 (no maximum limit) against an evil foe; an evil godborn may smite good foes. Neutral godborns must choose one or the other, and this choice cannot be changed.

Special Qualities: Godborns keep all the base creature's special qualities, and gain the following:
Damage Reduction (Ex): 10/silver, unless the base creature has better DR.
Spell Resistance (Ex): 10 + HD, unless the base creature has better SR.
Free Action (Ex): A godborn may move 20 ft. as a free action.

Saves: As base creature, modified for abilities.

Abilities: Str +6, Dex +4, Con +6, Int +4, Wis +4, Cha +8.

Skills: As base creature.

Feats: As base creature, plus godborns receive Improved Initiative and Toughness as bonus feats.

Climate: As base creature.

Orgranisation: Solitary or leader (1 godborn plus 2-5 base creatures).

CR: +3.

Effective Character Level: +5.

Treasure: As base creature.

Alignment: As base creature.

Advancement: HD +1- HDx2 (next larger size category)
